How to Copy your Mii from your Nintendo Wii
3 Jan 2009
Many people have been inquiring how to create a Mii profile picture off of the Nintendo Wii for use on Facebook or other networking sites, business cards or just for fun. As there doesn’t seem to be a way to do it off of your TV or even out of the system, I will explain the best way to do it. Some posts have suggested that you take a picture of the TV. This is hardly necessary and would turn out terrible. If you have a computer and even the basic software like Microsoft paint, it is easily done. In my example, I will use Microsoft Paint as nearly everyone has that.
Start out here: http://www.joystiq.com/media/2006/10/mii.swf
Create your Mii using the online software.
Take a screen shot.
To do this in Windows XP, just hit the print screen button. This copies the whole page to your clipboard.
Paste into Microsoft Paint. Because this is such a simple program, it doesn’t have trim or crop. However after you paste initially, you can select only the Mii, Copy and paste into a new Paint Window and save as a jpg. Of course, if you have a better graphics program, you could just simply save the whole window that opens in Paint as a jpg, open in the better program and trim and crop. You can also add titles if you want. Save as a jpg file.
In Windows Vista (except Home Basic) the screen shot function is a little different.
It uses a program called snip. To open it, click on the start menu, type snip and hit enter. This program allows you to actually take just a part of the window and paste it into a graphics program for editing.

And here is the Mii I created using this technique.
